About me

023Welcome to my blog! Thank you for dropping in.

I live in Greater Manchester in the north west of England, the region which I mostly write about. I’m an avid reader  – mainly fiction – and also enjoy nature and being outdoors, especially by the sea.  I love animals and have four cats – or maybe they have me. My interest in the history of the land and locality includes its stories and folklore. I also like art but am no expert.

This blog isn’t really about me; it’s about the places I visit and my personal perspectives and experiences. I also write occasionally about my tiny garden, other gardens, my locality and my thoughts on nature, the seasons and the world around me. I hope you enjoy reading!

I am happy to have discovered your blog. I have just moved to west cumbria. I also love vegetarian food and books. So I think I will like to read your blog.

I have been searching for my daughters father and typed in “Scouse Cooper” in google. And there he was, as part of your article on Birkenhead 4/11/18
I cannot ’ believe it as we were told last March (2018) that he had died. I exhausted every avenue trying to find proof.
My daughter has not been in touch with her father for over 20 years and hearing that he may have died, really upset her as up till then she had always said she didn’t feel the need to meet him. But we change as we get older don’t we? and I have always said that I would support her if she ever chose to do so.
So here we are. I have just spent £250 for him to be found with a further £499 to be paid once a report has been made.
I just thought I would have one more look myself. It doesn’t mean to say that he hasn’t passed away in this last 12 months but I’m sure I’ll be finding out very soon and I will keep you posted.
Thank you for your article and who knows, you may have brought a Father and daughter back together.
